Who we are
FounderXchange (founderxchange.com) is run by Mohamed Alaa Elkady in Cairo, Egypt, who decides how your data is used (the data controller). Contact: hello@founderxchange.com or WhatsApp +20 104 422 0077.
What we collect
- What you give us when you join: name, company or idea name, stage, the track you choose, the fields you can offer and need, the country you are based in, email, WhatsApp number, how often you need help, an invitation code, and for experts a CV or LinkedIn link, your hours and your answers to our 3 questions.
- What you give us when you ask for help: your problem, what you tried, the outcome you want and the times that suit you.
- What happens in the service: when you confirmed your email, which members were asked about a request, bookings, cancellations, your consent to AI notes and when you gave it, ratings, takeaways and your balance of hours.
- What you send us on WhatsApp or by email.
We don't use advertising cookies or trackers.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To run the service you asked for (contract): confirming your email, matching requests, booking sessions, reminders, ratings and moving hours.
- With your consent: AI notes for a session, only when both members agree. You can withdraw it any time before or during the session.
- To keep the service safe (legitimate interest): stopping spam and fake sign-ups, handling no-shows and complaints.
Who sees it
- Members we ask to help see your name, your brief and, after 3 ratings, your average rating.
- The member you are booked with sees your name and email (in the calendar invite) and your WhatsApp number (in the reminder), so you can reach each other.
- Our team.
We never sell your data.
Service providers and where your data goes
Your data is stored and processed by these providers, on servers that may be outside Egypt, including in the United States and the European Union:
- Google (Sheets, Gmail, Calendar and Meet): where member data is stored, and how emails, invites and meeting links are sent.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website.
- The AI note taker (Circleback): only for sessions where both members agreed.
- WhatsApp (Meta): only when you message us there.
- Google Fonts: loads the website's fonts and sees your IP address.
We rely on these providers' own data protection terms for transfers abroad. By using the service you agree to this transfer, as Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 151 of 2020) allows.
How long we keep it
- Sign-ups never confirmed by email are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Member data is kept while you are a member.
- Session records and ratings are kept for up to 24 months so that hours and ratings stay correct.
- AI recordings are deleted once the notes are sent.
Ask us to delete your account at any time and we remove your data within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw consent. Email us from the address you signed up with. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Centre, or to the data protection authority where you live (for example in the EU or the UK).
Age
FounderXchange is for people aged 18 and over.
Security
Member data sits in a private sheet only our team can open. Every email link is personal to you and does nothing until you press the button on the page it opens.
The assistant on our website
It answers from text written by our team inside the page. What you type is not saved or sent anywhere.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we email members before it takes effect.
